Veteran Australian opener David Warner has hilariously recalled his sleepless nights during the 2019 Ashes and nightmares about facing Stuart Broad.

England and New Zealand are squaring off each other in the first Test match of the two-Test series at Lords.

However, Australian opener David Warner posted a picture of English bowler Stuart Broad bowling during the match, saying that there are only a few months of sleep left for him before he once again faces pacer in the Ashes.

"Trying to get some sleep here in Aus but this bloke pops up on my tv screen!! Few months to get some sleep before the Ashes down under,” David Warner Tweeted.

To the reference, Stuart Broad was all over David Warner during the Ashes 2019. The right-arm dismissed southpaw seven times in 10 innings. The Australian opener had a forgetful series and managed to score only 95 runs.

Stuart Broad was recently named as the vice-captain of the England team against New Zealand while David Warner recently got out of the extended quarantine period post the suspension of IPL 2021.

The duo will face off each other once again in December this year when both Australia and England lock horns with each other in Ashes 2021-22.

The Ashes will begin on December 8 at the Gabba and will culminate in Perth on January 18.
