Rahul Tripathi fined by Pune police for violating COVID-19 lockdown norms

Kolkata Knight Riders and Maharashtra batsman Rahul Tripathi on Friday (28th May) was fined by Pune police for allegedly violating COVID-19 lockdown norms. 

Rahul Tripathi was seen moving around in a car without wearing a mask in the Pune Kondhwa area and was fined INR 500. 

Talking about the same senior inspector or Kondhwa police station Sardar Patil informed about the same and said that Rahul Tripathi was with some other persons in the car.

“The cricketer Tripathi was not wearing a face mask and was driving around without any reason during the lockdown. There were some other persons in the car,” said senior inspector Sardar Patil of Kondhwa police station.

Rahul Tripathi was last seen in action in IPL 2021. The swashbuckling batsman has had a decent campaign so far and played some eye-catching knocks, amassing 187 runs at a strike rate of 135.50.
