Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan on Tuesday (May 25) hits back at the critics by saying he is her “mate not her master” after being accused of running his wife Safa Baig at her behest after she shared a blurred picture of her alongside the cricketer and their son on social media.

Recently, Safa shared a picture of her alongside Irfan and their son Imran from the recent Road Safety Series on Instagram, where her face is partially blurred while the former all-rounder has their son on his shoulder as the couple posed for the adorable family picture in Raipur.

She captioned the post on her son’s account, “Together is our favorite place to be! ???? #Love #Family”

Well, the picture of Irfan’s wife’s blurred face led to criticism that the Baroda cricketer is not allowing her to reveal her face to the public, which angered the 36-year-old as Pathan took to Twitter to clarify that it is his wife’s choice to blur her face and not her partner’s.

On Tuesday, Pathan shared the same picture on his Twitter handle by saying: “This picture is posted by my queen from my son’s account. We are getting lot of hate. Let me post this here as well. She blurred this pic by her choice. And Yes, I’m her mate, not her master.”

Noteworthy, Irfan and his brother Yusuf have been helping the needy with food, oxygen cylinders, ventilators, oxygen concentrators, etc to do their bit in India’s fight against the deadly second wave of COVID-19 through the brothers’ Pathan foundation.
