Kanpur city magistrate Himanshu Gupta has clarified that the Team India member Kuldeep Yadav got vaccinated at a private hospital and not at a guest house. Kuldeep had shared a picture of himself getting the first jab of COVID-19 vaccine which stirred up a controversy.
"जब भी मौका मिले तुरंत टीका लगवाएं। सुरक्षित रहें क्योंकि covid19 के खिलाफ लड़ाई में एकजुट होने की आवश्यकता है ???????? (Get vaccinated immediately whenever you get a chance. Be safe because you need to be united in the fight against COVID-19)," wrote Kuldeep on his Instagram account.
Kuldeep had to clarify that the picture is from the vaccination center after the controversy. "यह टीका केंद्र ही है. धन्यवाद (This is a vaccination centre. Thank You)", he wrote in the comment section.

The city magistrate, Gupta, submitted his report on Wednesday (May 19) in which he categorically mentioned that Kuldeep got the vaccine dose at the Jogeshwar Hospital in Govind Nagar for which he had booked a slot under the id of anm kamini.
The report further went on to claim that Kuldeep's name was 136th on the official register for entries kept at the vaccination centre.
Gupta told India Today that Kuldeep shared the picture on social media at the behest of his friends as it's in trend now. Gupta also admitted that he and Kuldeep have never met in person but gave him a clean chit in his report after his investigation.
