India pacer Ishant Sharma got his first dose of vaccine and posted a photo on his social media, urging everyone to get vaccinated as early as possible.

Ishant was named by the BCCI in the Team India squad for the upcoming tour of UK, which comprises the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand and the five-Test series against hosts England.

The BCCI had allowed its players to get vaccinated before going to England and since then Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, and a couple of other players have gotten the first jab of the vaccine as well.

Vaccination will help the players getting extra protection against the COVID-19 pandemic which has engulfed India badly.

“Thankful for this and grateful for all the essential workers. Happy to see the smooth running of the facility & management. Let’s all get vaccinated at the earliest,” Ishant wrote.
