Saurashtra captain Jaydev Unadkat was ignored for the England tour despite an outstanding performance in the Ranji Trophy 2019-20. He led Saurashtra to their maiden title win and also bagged 67 wickets with a strike rate of 28.2 in the season.
But missing out from India's squad for the upcoming England tour hasn't affected Unadkat's confidence and he's looking forward to giving an even better performance than the last Ranji Trophy.

Former India pacer Dodda Ganesh raised a question on Unadkat's omission from the squad and said the selection has confused him. “What else does @JUnadkat need to do to get into the Indian test squad. It’s perplexing to see him being ignored again and again despite great performances year after year at the FC level,” Ganesh had posted on Twitter.
Unadkat responded and wrote, “Your concern motivates me even more! Bring on the next season”.
The speedster also reacted sarcastically to a post by a fan who felt bad for Unadkat as he wasn't considered even for the backup players.
