Suresh Raina tweets in need of oxygen cylinder, tags UP CM Yogi Adityanath; Sonu Sood offers help

Former Indian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings batsman Suresh Raina on Thursday (May 6) took to Twitter to seek help for an oxygen cylinder in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, for his COVID-19 positive aunt.

Raina has been asking for help for an oxygen cylinder in Meerut for his 65-year-old aunt who is COVID-19 positive and hospitalized with a severe lung infection.

India’s cricket star also tagged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s personal account in the post, seeking leads for an oxygen cylinder in Meerut, UP.

Raina wrote on Twitter on Thursday, “Urgent requirement of an oxygen cylinder in Meerut for my aunt. Age – 65. Hospitalized with Severe lung infection. Covid +. SPO2 without support 70. SPO2 with support 91. Kindly help with any leads. @myogiadityanath,”.

The post has received a lot of helpful comments on Twitter with fans helping Raina with the contact numbers of the oxygen cylinder distributors in Meerut and Uttar Pradesh, India.

Bollywood actor and savior of many in the COVID-19 pandemic Sonu Sood also reacted to the post and asked Raina to share the details of the needy while assuring the cricketer to provide with an oxygen cylinder on Twitter on Friday.

Sood replied to Raina’s post: “Send me the detals bhai. Will get it delivered.” 

To which Raina replied with thanks and that he'll DM the details. 

Sometime later, Raina updated that the cylinder had been arranged and thanked everyone for help and support. 

Recently, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath had ordered the officials to take action under the National Security Act against the rumors spreader of the shortage of oxygen supply in the hospitals in the Indian state and asked them to seize their property for the fake claims.
