PSL 2021: PCB considering UAE as potential venue for remainder of PSL 6

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering UAE as the venue for the remaining matches of the PSL 2021. PSL 2021 was postponed in March 2021 with immediate effect after six players along with one official were tested positive for the COVID-19. 

However, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) along with all the franchises decided to reschedule the remaining 20 matches of PSL 2021 from June 1 in Karachi.

Talking to ESPNCricinfo, PCB spokesperson it National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) doesn’t allow to play matches in Karachi then PCB will hold the rest of the tournament in UAE.

“Now, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) will announce the decision. If it decides that the league should be resumed, we will bio-secure Karachi and all matches would be played there. 

“If the NCOC does not give the go-ahead to PCB for holding matches in Karachi, we will consult the franchises to hold the rest of the tournament in the UAE, ” a PCB spokesperson told ESPNCricinfo. 

It is reported that all six PSL franchises had asked the PCB to move the tournament to the UAE.
