Michael Slater said that the panic and fear of every Australian in India is real | TwitterFormer Australia cricketer Michael Slater had attacked his country’s PM Scott Morrison for not allowing citizens to enter back into the country as it shut its borders, especially for travelers from India, which is experiencing a huge second wave of the COVID-19.

Slater left the IPL 2021 tournament mid-way but is stuck in the Maldives as Australia has banned entry for anyone, even its citizens, till May 15. Slater said that blood is on the hands-on PM Scott Morrison in a previous tweet, where he criticized the PM after he said that anyone trying to enter the country will be imprisoned for five years.

He asked the PM to come to take his private jet and visit India where they can see dead bodies on the streets.

Amazing to smoke out the PM on a matter that is a human crisis. The panic, the fear of every Australian in India is real!! How about you take your private jet and come and witness dead bodies on the street!” he tweeted.

The IPL 2021 was postponed indefinitely on May 4, 2021, and the BCCI has ensured the safety of each of the foreign players currently in India. Several top Aussie cricketers like Steve Smith, David Warner are staying put with their respective teams.

Slater also wouldn’t have been able to reach the Australian shores because of the ban from India. Had he reached there, he could have been put in jail.
