MS Dhoni's parents discharged from the hospital after recovering from COVID-19

Dhoni's parents had tested positive for COVID-19 when he was with CSK in Mumbai.

Dhoni's mother, Devaki Devi, and father, Pan Singh were discharged from a private hospital in Ranchi, where they were admitted for treatment.

Dhoni’s parents were discharged as they did not show any signs of health problems, they tested negative for COVID-19 as well.

The wicket-keeper batsman’s parents were admitted to Pule Superspeciality Hospital in Ranchi on April 20 after their positive test results and the hospital had said on April 21 that their oxygen levels were stable.

MS Dhoni who is currently with his franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021), was in Mumbai when the news of his parents testing positive for COVID-19 had emerged.

As the teams are currently staying in their bio-secure bubble and have to follow some protocols, the CSK skipper could not meet his parents. But, CSK head coach Stephen Fleming had revealed that the situation is under control and that the franchise was offering support to their skipper.

After a comfortable win over SRH, MS Dhoni and Co. will be taking on five-time champions and current defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) on Saturday  (1 May) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
