Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has on Monday (April 26) announced a 16-man squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Pakistan starting later this month at home.

ZC has named five uncapped players in the squad for the upcoming Test series against Pakistan and they are all-rounders Luke Jongwe and Roy Kaia, left-arm seamer Richard Ngarava, top-order batsman Milton Shumba and fast bowler Tanaka Chivanga.

The opening Test between Zimbabwe and Pakistan is scheduled for 29 April-3 May followed by the second and final Test on May 7-11 at Harare Sports Club in Harare.

The home Test series against Pakistan marks the return of Brendan Taylor – who missed Zimbabwe’s previous series against Afghanistan in the United Arab Emirates due to ill health, and Tendai Chisoro, who last played a Test way back in 2017, whereas Craig Ervine misses out due to a calf injury.

Pakistan-born all-rounder Sikandar Raza also missed out on the Test selection as he continues to recover and receive treatment for a bone marrow infection.

Zimbabwe Test squad:

Sean Williams (captain), Regis Chakabva, Tendai Chisoro, Tanaka Chivanga, Luke Jongwe, Roy Kaia, Kevin Kasuza, Wellington Masakadza, Prince Masvaure, Tarisai Musakanda, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Victor Nyauchi, Milton Shumba, Brendan Taylor, Donald Tiripano.
