India's all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja regrets not winning the 2019 ICC World Cup semi-final match against New Zealand. India had lost the match by 18 runs and Jadeja scored 77 runs in the 240-run chase.

India were bowled out on 221 runs in 49.3 overs and New Zealand qualified for the final to face England, who eventually won the tournament.

Jadeja was asked which World Cup semifinal's result he would like to change between 2016 and 2019, and he picked the latter.

"I was playing well in that particular game. We were almost about to win the game but then I got out! That's the game I wanted to win for my country," Jadeja told Indian women's all-rounder Jemimah Rodrigues on Dream11's Dil Ya Dimaag.

Apart from Jadeja, MS Dhoni had scored a half-century before getting run-out in the 49th over which sealed the game for New Zealand. India were six down on 92 at one stage before Jadeja and Dhoni put on a partnership of 116 runs.

The 32-year-old picked his IPL win with Rajasthan Royals over Chennai Super Kings' title win in 2018 after coming back from a 2-year ban. "I think the first victory is always memorable because that is where my journey started in the IPL and I was part of the team."

Jadeja has improved as a batsman over the years and the all-rounder does like batting over bowling. "I will go with my batting because India is a country full of batsmen and whoever scores runs is more famous, as the team is known for its batting."
