After South Africa, Pakistan will be playing a three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe.

Pakistan side recently won their first-ever T20 series in South Africa | GettyPakistan bowling coach Waqar Younis feels like the team will be looking to build a strong pool of pacers for the upcoming T20 World Cup in October to be held in India.

The Babar Azam-led side recently won their first-ever T20I series win in South Africa and will be looking to carry their form in the upcoming showpiece event.

All the boys got to rest after PSL postponement so fatigue is not a problem with them but we will sit down and discuss with them as we monitor every bowler,” Younis said.

With Pakistan scheduled to play a three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, the former Pakistan pacer said that they will try out other bowlers considering the T20 World Cup in India.

Of course, we will try out other bowlers as we need to build a bunch of pacers for upcoming series and tournaments including the World T20,” the right-arm quick said.

When asked about the disappearance of youngster Naseem Shah from the international arena after being touted as the big find, Younis cleared that Shah was having some injury and fitness issues.

He is a very promising young fast bowler and we are confident that after playing some more domestic cricket he will come back stronger and better. He is one for the future,” the 49-year-old said.

While talking about selection, the 49-year-old made it clear that he has no role in selection as he said, “That is not my domain, that is the head coach and captain's domain and I don't try to interfere. I give my feedback and they decide what is best for the team.

After South Africa, Babar Azam and Co. will be traveling to Zimbabwe for a three-match T20I series beginning from 21 April at Harare Sports Club.
