Australian teammates Marnus Labuschagne and veteran off-spinner Nathan Lyon were seen cuddling in the Sheffield Shield final.
The Sheffield Shield final is underway between New South Wales and Queensland. Opting to bat NSW were bowled out for only 143 runs on Day 1 as Michael Neser shined with the ball and took a five-wicket haul.
Replying to NSW’s first innings total, Queensland on account of premier Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne’s 192 ended their first innings on 389, with a 246-run lead.
However, during Queensland innings an incident took place as veteran Australian spinner Nathan Lyon and Marnus Labuschagne were seen cuddling each other.

Labuschagne was at the non-striker’s end when Matt Renshaw hit a Lyon delivery down the ground. The veteran spinner in his bid to stop the ball, collided with Labuschagne, who was trying to get his bat grounded. Both fell on the pitch, which was followed by a brief cuddle.

The duo were engaged in another lighter moment during the 31st over of Queensland innings when Nathan Lyon bowled widish delivery that pitched just above the stumps and Labuschagne made use of his pads to defend the ball instead of making an attempt with the bat. However, Lyon’s appeal was not entertained by the umpire.
The veteran off-spinner on his way back to the bowling end sledged Australia’s No.3 batsman in Test cricket by saying “He's got a bat, one of the best batters in the world!"
