Pakistan batsman Fakhar Zaman was on a roll in the recently concluded ODI series against South Africa as the left-hander scored two hundreds, including a superb knock of 193 runs which sadly went in vain as the team lost the match by 17 runs.

The southpaw had revealed in the virtual press conference that the senior Pakistan teammate Mohammad Hafeez had gifted him a bat which he used in the record knock against the Proteas.

“It was really nice of Fakhar Zaman to have praised me and spoken about the bat I gave him. However, he has caused me a lot of problems as I have been inundated with demands for thousands of bats and it seems I will have to open up a cricket bat factory,” Hafeez said in a video posted by Khelshel on Twitter.

“Instead of the bat, the credit should go to Fakhar Zaman because it was a very special innings from him. It’s always tough for anyone to make a comeback and the attitude, hunger and determination Fakhar has shown is something others can learn from,” the 40-year-old added.

The 31-year-old Fakhar was in red hot form against South Africa as he scored consecutive hundreds in second and third ODI. After getting closer to an amazing win in second ODI, he scored another century which helped the team in winning the series 2-1.
