The current number 1 ranked Test bowler Pat Cummins remembered how one of his comments on the Indian skipper Virat Kohli was blown up on social media. The right-arm quick was talking about a comment he made when India was scheduled to tour Australia in 2018-19.

I think Virat Kohli's not going to get a hundred and we're going to knock 'em off over here,” the pacer had said about at the time but as the Indian media has a good memory, Cummins revealed how the comment came back to 'hound' him.

IPL 2021: "He wants to take the game on and is really relaxed," Cummins lauds Shubman Gill

If you live on social media at all, you get absolutely hounded. Say anything about Virat Kohli and look out for the next years. I remember I said something a few years ago. It was actually… I thought it was a bit of a compliment,” Cummins said on The Grade Cricketer Podcast.

He's a great player. Hope he doesn't score a hundred because he's a gun player'. Virat scored a century six months later and my phone just blew up. They (The Indian Media) have got a long memory,” the pacer added.

He's always good to watch, wish I could be as brave as Rishabh Pant, says Pat Cummins

The 27-year-old who is currently in India will be having his second successive season with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as they bagged the Aussie for a whopping price of INR 15.5 Cr last year. The Kolkata-based franchise will begin their IPL 14 campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 11 April in Chennai.
