“Are you okay?” Jofra Archer asks author Taslima Nasreen for her comments on Moeen Ali

Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen stirred a hornet’s by her unprovoked attack on England all-rounder Moeen Ali. Nasreen was living in India after being exiled from Bangladesh after her 1993 novel Lajja brought her immense fame and infamy both.

Today on April 6, 2021, Nasreen posted a tweet saying that had England’s Moeen Ali, who is India for the upcoming IPL 2021, where he will play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), not busy with cricket, he would have gone to Syria and joined ISIS, the Islamist terrorist organization.

This led to her being criticized for her thoughtless tweets and many cricket experts, journalists, and England players came out to support Moeen Ali and one of them was Jofra Archer. He took to Twitter and asked Nasreen whether she was alright and in the right mind.

Later, Nasreen deleted her original tweet and posted that she had tweeted that in a sarcastic manner and people were making an issue out of it to humiliate her because she secularizes Islam. But Archer was not done and posted, “Sarcastic ? No one is laughing , not even yourself , the least you can do is delete the tweet
