Sachin Tendulkar has yet again showcased his batting masterclass to beat West Indies Legends to storm India Legends into the final of the ongoing World Safety World Series on Wednesday (March 17).
The legendary batsman played a whirlwind knock of 42-ball 65 studded six fours and three sixes as well as added 56 runs in 5.3 overs Virender Sehwag (35) followed by an entertaining cameo by Yuvraj Singh, hitting a stunning 20-ball 49 not out to help India post 218 on the board against West Indies Legends.
All-rounder Yusuf Pathan (37) and Mohammed Kaif (27) also contributed with the bat on Wednesday.
Defending the 219, India Legends restricted the West Indies Legends to 206 for 6 in 20 overs to win the game by 13 runs in the first semifinal of the Road Safety World Series T20 2021 on Wednesday at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Wednesday.
Vinay Kumar was the star bowler for India Legends, taking 2 wickets for 26 in his 3 over while Irfan Pathan, Pragyan Ojha, and Manpreet Goni each took 1 wicket against the West Indies Legends.
After leading India Legends to the final of the first edition of the Road Safety World Series 2021, Tendulkar hailed the “competitive spirit” of his and the West Indies legends' team in the first semifinal of the Road Safety World Series T20 while praising all 22 players’ efforts on Wednesday.
