India reportedly planning to host South Africa and New Zealand for T20I series ahead of T20 World Cup

The ICC T20 World Cup 2021 will be played in India in October-November.

Team India may face SA and NZ in T20I series before T20 World Cup | BCCIThe Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to host New Zealand and South Africa for T20I series at home as preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 to be played in India in October-November this year.

The Times of India reported that BCCI is squeezing in a couple of bilateral T20I series in October to help the Indian team prepare for the T20 World Cup.

“South Africa and New Zealand are scheduled to come to India to play a couple of T20I series before the World Cup. The modalities are to be finalized. The board is aware that the team needs to be in touch with the format before the Cup starts,” a senior BCCI official said.

"Hopeful of Team India coming to Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023," says PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani

India and South Africa already have an agreement to play a series in India to compensate for the canceled series in March last year. India doesn’t have any T20Is scheduled after the ongoing series against England.

India will travel to England for the final of the ICC World Test Championship and a five-match Test series against England as well, after the completion of the IPL 2021. India comes back from England in mid-September.

India will also host New Zealand for a Test series after the T20 World Cup. The Indian team will then travel to South Africa for a full tour in December-January
