The Women’s One-Day game between Mumbai and Nagaland in Indore on Wednesday (March 17) saw a bizarre scorecard as the former bowled out the latter for a paltry 17.
The match was a part of the ongoing Women's Senior One-Day Trophy, in which Mumbai thrashed Nagaland 10 wickets, chasing down the target in just four balls.
In the match played at the Holkar Stadium, Mumbai skipper and medium-pacer Sayali Satghare (7/5 in 8.4 overs) ran through the Nagaland batting line-up.
Nagaland's decision to bat first backfired as their first four batters – Nagaland's Kikayangla (0), Jyoti (0), skipper Sentilemla (0) and Elina (0) – walked back to the pavilion without troubling the scorers.
No Nagaland batter managed to reach the double-digit mark. Sariba was the top-scorer with 9 to her name.
Apart from Satghare, S Thakor (1/0) and M Dakshini (2/12) were also among the wickets for Mumbai.
In reply, Mumbai overhauled the meagre target in just 0.4 overs, with openers Esha Oza and Vrushali Bhagat smashing three boundaries and a six in the process.
Brief Scores:
Nagaland 17 all out in 17.4 overs lost to Mumbai 20/0 0.4 overs by 10 wickets.
