Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi's eldest daughter Aqsa is set to get engaged to fast-bowler Shaheen Afridi. Shaheen is currently one of the prime bowlers of the Pakistan cricket team.
The news of their engagement was confirmed by Shaheen's father Ayaz Khan to Pakistani media. Shahid Afridi's family has agreed to the proposal and a formal engagement will be done within two years.

Pakistan's journalist Ihtisham ul Haq shared the news on social media with consent from both the families. “With permission from both families, I would like to clarify the engagement rumors between Shaheen Afridi and the daughter of Shahid Afridi.
"The proposal has been accepted; it is thought that a formal engagement will be done within 2 yrs, following the completion of her education,” he tweeted.
In another tweet, Ihtisham requested everyone to maintain privacy. “The reason behind this tweet is to clarify the suspicion caused by social media. Respect to both families; please do await their own official announcements as they are currently in talks. I would like to request all individuals to respect their privacy during this auspicious time,” he added.
The 20-year-old Shaheen made his debut for Pakistan in 2018 in a T20I match against West Indies and played ODI and Tests too in the same year. The pacer has played 15 Tests, 22 ODIs, and 21 T20Is for Pakistan so far.
