ICC's live streaming deal with IMG to show 541 games across 3 World Cups till April 2023

145 are women’s matches and 80 Associate Members will see fixtures from 41 qualifier events.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has on Thursday (February 25) signed a groundbreaking live-streaming deal with the International Management Group (IMG), a global sports and events management company, to deliver more cricket to more fans across the world.

Following a live streaming deal between the ICC and IMG, cricket fans around the globe will be able to watch every qualifying match for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 and Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

Fans will also be able to see clips from the matches on the ICC's digital channels following the latest agreement, which covers 541 matches, including 145 women’s games, and 41 qualifier events that will see 80 Associate Members' fixtures to be produced and streamed globally.

ICC Chief Executive, Manu Sawhney said in a release on Thursday: “We are delighted to be partnering with IMG to deliver more cricket to more fans than ever before. This is a significant step forward for our sport and increases the size of our platform globally, which supports our long-term ambitions for greater sustainability for all of our Members.”

Meanwhile, the ICC stated, “Of the 541 matches that will be broadcast, 145 are women’s matches and 80 Associate Members will see fixtures from 41 qualifier events being produced and distributed, with more than 50 of those Members enjoying global coverage at an ICC event for the first time ever.”

The sports governing body concluded, “In the Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 pathway, eight teams: Bhutan, Botswana, Cameroon, France, Malawi, Myanmar, Philippines, and Turkey will be making their debuts in international ICC Women’s events.”

The coverage will capture the performance of new teams, including Hungary, Romania and Serbia, - the nations are competing for the first time in the men’s T20 World Cup qualification while Finland will be hosting to an ICC event for the very first time.
