Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar has advised India cricket great Sachin Tendulkar to be careful before speaking up on issues not related to cricket.
Tendulkar had received a lot of criticism on social media for his tweet against foreign celebrities extending support to the ongoing farmer's protest.
"I would suggest to Sachin (Tendulkar) that he should be careful while speaking on the issues related to other fields," former BCCI President Pawar told reporters.

The ex-India cricketer had opposed the interference in India's affairs after the tweet of famous pop singer Rihanna by tweeting on hashtag #IndiaTogether and #IndiaAgainstPropaganda.
He continued by slamming those who are calling the farmers 'Khalistanis'. "These agitators are farmers who feed our country. Therefore, it is not right to call them Khalistanis or terrorists," Pawar, who was Union Agriculture Minister from 2004-2014, added.
Apart from Tendulkar, India captain Virat Kohli had also posted a tweet on the hashtag. There are many celebrities from different fields who have already joined the trend.
