Ashoke Dinda retires from all forms of cricket

Dinda played 22 international matches in white-ball cricket for India

Ashoke Dinda, former India, Bengal, and Goa player, has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on February 2, 2021. He had made his FC debut for Bengal in 2005 and continued to play cricket for them till 2020.

He also played 13 ODIs and 9 T20Is for India from 2009-2013. He had moved to Goa from Bengal this season and appeared in 3 Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 matches as well. In all, he picked 420 wickets in 116 FC matches, 151 wickets in 98 List-A games, and 151 wickets in 147 T20 matches.

In IPL, Dinda played for Kolkata Knight Riders, Pune Warriors, Rising Pune Supergiant, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Delhi Capitals, picking 68 wickets in 78 matches with a best of 4/18 at an economy of 8.22.

He retires as the second leading wicket-taker for Bengal after Utpal Chatterjee (504) with 420 first-class wickets.
