Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya’s father, Himanshu Pandya, passed away due to a cardiac arrest on Saturday (January 16) and the duo bid an emotional farewell to their dad.

Krunal, who was leading Baroda in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, left the bio-bubble created for the T20 tournament on learning about the devastating news.

According to a report published in India Today, Hardik also arrived in Vadodara with his wife Natasa Stankovic. He broke down in tears after seeing the mortal remains of his father.

The Pandya brothers eventually performed the last rites of their father together.

While Krunal was captaining Baroda in the domestic T20 tournament, Hardik was spending time with family and working on his fitness after returning from the white-ball series in Australia.

Hardik Pandya was named 'Player-of-the-Series' in the three-match T20I series against Australia. He is now likely to be seen in action in the limited-overs series against England at home.
