Two Indians feature in Greg Chappell's most exciting Test XI; Tendulkar, Dravid not included

Chappell's list of most exciting Test XI also includes four Australians, two West Indians.

While the esteemed list includes greats like Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Anil Kumble, Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli among others, former Australia skipper Greg Chappell recently picked his most exciting Test XI, in which only two Indians managed to find a place.

In his column for Sydney Morning Herald, Chappell shared his list of most exciting Test XI, which includes four Australians, two West Indians, and a player each from Pakistan, South Africa and England.

The two Indians in Chappell's list are current skipper Virat Kohli and former opener Virender Sehwag.

Kohli has featured in 87 Tests so far, scoring 7318 runs at an average of 53.42 with 27 centuries and 23 fifties. The Indian captain also holds an impressive record in alien batting conditions like Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and New Zealand.

On the other hand, Sehwag represented the country in 104 Tests, amassing 8586 runs at 49.34, including 23 hundreds and 32 half-centuries. The dashing right-hander is one of the only four batsmen in history to have hit two triple tons.

Besides, Chappell’s list was studded with iconic names such as Sir Vivian Richards, Gary Sobers, Graeme Pollock, Adam Gilchrist, Wasim Akram, Shane Warne among others.
