Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar described former India captain, MS Dhoni, in interaction with fans on Twitter. He was asked by a Twitter user to say a few words about Dhoni.

Akhtar responded to the fan and said Dhoni is the name of an era. He has admitted he's a huge admirer of India's World Cup-winning captain.

"It's the name of an era," replied the ex-Pakistan pacer to a fan's question.

Akhtar has a memorable face-off against Dhoni in a Test match at Pakistan in 2006. The speedster was so frustrated with his hitting during his 148-run knock that he had bowled a beamer in anger.

When Dhoni had announced retirement from international cricket last year, Akhtar had gone on to say that India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi should stop him from going.

"You never know, the Indian Prime Minister may call him and request him to play the next T20 World Cup. Imran Khan was also asked by General Zia-ul-Haq not to leave cricket after 1987 and he played. You can’t say no to the Prime Minister," Akhtar had said on YouTube.
