West Indian legend Chris Gayle believes that he is nowhere near retiring from T20 cricket at the moment with two T20 World Cups in sight in the next two years. The 41-year-old opener is of the opinion that he can continue to play at least till the age of 45.

Gayle recently participated in the Ultimate Kricket Challenge (UKC) and talked to Asian News International (ANI) reporters on the sidelines. He not only talked about his future plans but also talked about the new format one-on-one tournament that UKC offered to its fans.

Chris Gayle told ANI, “Oh yes, of course, no retirement plan as of now. I believe that I still have five more years, so before 45 no chance. And yes, two more World Cups to go.

This is an excellent piece of news to his fans around the world as the self-proclaimed 'Universe Boss' will continue to entertain one and all with his lust blows out of the ground. He might also boost the chances of West Indies in lifting their third, and maybe fourth, T20 World Cup trophies.

The UKC is a brand new format with two cricketers going against each other in 4 innings of 15 balls each. While the players can opt for a change in bowler, the batsmen need to run on every ball to collect runs off it. This indoor cricket format does have a lot of new rules AND Chris Gayle likes what the UKC has on offer.

Gayle said, “I think it's a new and exciting concept added to the game of cricket. But like I say you never know, but at the same time, it's fantastic in many ways and you can easily relate (to) it. And within the game of cricket and I'm sure everyone will actually get to watch what's happening pertaining to the UKC so it's totally different from what I'm sure you have seen indoor cricket before.
