Star Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan won the ICC Men's T20I Cricketer of the Decade award presented by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on 28 December 2020. The 22-year-old cricketer felt grateful for winning the award but felt disappointed to not have any of his parents alive when he got the recognition.
The cricketer posted two tweets after being awarded by the ICC, one of which was for the award and the other was a 'I MISS YOU' message for his late parents. He must have felt immensely emotional as he had earlier revealed how close he was to his mother, who passed away in June 2020. Rashid Khan's father had earlier left for heavenly abode in December 2018.

In an another tweet, he wrote, "I truly never learned what the words I MISS YOU were until I reached for my mom and dad's hand and it wasn't there"
