The BCCI board members and state officials will be meeting for an Annual General Meeting on Thursday, December 24. While there is a lot of serious stuff on agenda for the meeting, the BCCI officials will also be seen in a friendly game of cricket at the new Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad.

As the BCCI boasts of its newest excellent cricket facility in India, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and vice-President Jay Shah have decided to have a go with their teams before a professional cricket match is conducted at the international-level stadium.

The match is supposed to be played before the AGM is held and some of the officials and state representatives will be participating in the fixture. The match will be held on Wednesday, December 23.

Head of Hyderabad Cricket Association and former Indian skipper Mohammed Azharuddin, former Indian batsman Brijesh Patel and former Saurashtra captain Jaydev Shah will be present for the AGM.

However, which of the officials will be playing the game and which will not is yet to be known.

One of the primary agendas of the AGM is that of setting up the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). The members of the newly-elected CAC will then be given the responsibility of interviewing candidates and selecting the national selectors' committee for Team India before the England series begins in February 2021.
