Bangladeshi cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim was the center of a controversy when he was seen threatening to hit his Beximco Dhaka team-mate, Nasum Ahmed, during a match in the ongoing Bangabandhu T20 Cup.
In the encounter against Fortune Barishal on Monday, Rahim had lost his cool and nearly hit his teammate Nasum Ahmed for interfering while taking a catch in crucial moments of the match. The incident took place on the final ball of the 17th over when Fortune Barishal was involved in a tight chase.
Rahim looked frustrated with the incident and was seen scolding Nasum before the other players intervened to bring the situation under control.

However, in the aftermath, Rahim has apologized to Ahmed and shared a photo with him as well on Instagram.
In his post, Rahim wrote, “Assalamualaikum to all, First of all officially I would like to apologize to all my fans and spectators regarding the incident that happened yesterday during the match. I have already apologized after the game to my fellow teammate Nasum. Secondly, I seek forgiveness from the Almighty.
I always remember I am a human being above all and the gesture that I have shown was not acceptable at all. Inshaa Allah in near future, I promise it won’t be repeated on the ground or outside the ground. JazakAllah khair”
