Former India captain MS Dhoni's post appreciating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's letter after retirement is the most retweeted post in 2020 on Twitter India under the sports category.

Dhoni had announced retirement from international cricket earlier this year on 15th August. He wasn't active since India's World Cup 2019 exit, but fans felt he will make a return for the T20 World Cup.

With T20 World Cup 2020 getting postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Dhoni decided to quit international cricket. His decision to retire had left his admirers' heartbroken.

The most retweeted tweet across all categories this year came from Tamil actor Vijay. He had posted a selfie with his fans.
