New Zealand dominated West Indies on Sunday (November 29) to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series, having won the first game on Friday.
Glenn Phillips played the starring role with the bat as he blasted 108 off just 51 balls to take the Black Caps to a humoungous total of 238/3 in the first half. His century off 46 balls was the fastest for New Zealand in T20Is.

Phillips' magnificent knock, which shall definitely strengthen his claim of a regular spot in the line-up, was glint with 10 fours and 8 sixes.
Openers Martin Guptil (34) and Tim Seifert (18) laid a decent foundation to Phillips' act and Devon Conway (65) too batted superbly at the other end. Together, they feasted on the West Indies bowling and took the game away from the visitors.
Only Sheldon Cottrell (0/39) looked in any sort of control as familiar problems resurfaced for West Indies, whose bowling has been an issue for a while.
On the batting front, the explosive Caribbean line-up had the pressure to deliver from ball one of the chase and it reflected in their performances. Andre Fletcher (20), skipper Kieron Pollard (28), Kyle Mayers (20), Keemo Paul (26) got starts, but West Indies needed more from them, especially as Shimron Hetmyer (25) struggled for flow.
In contrast with the visiting attack, the Kiwis had quite a few bright spots. Tall pacer Kyle Jamieson (2/15) impressed everyone with his control and skillset while last match's hero Lockie Ferguson (1/22) and Ish Sodhi (1/26) delivered economical spells. The home team restricted the Calypso Kings to just 166/9.
The third and final T20I of the series will be played on Monday (November 30).
