Australian batsman Steve Smith took to Instagram to connect with his fans and did a Q&A session on Tuesday, November 24. He answered a lot of questions about cricket and life out of cricket.
A fan asked him to say something about the batting legend Sachin Tendulkar. Smith replied saying how he loved the great man, bat.

Smith said, "Used to love (to watch) Sachin bat, particularly when he hit the ball down the ground. I thought his straight drive and on drive were sublime, great to watch!"
The batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar scored heaps of runs against Australia in his international career. As a young Australian fan, he might have watched Tendulkar bat and it is easy to fall in love with the great man's batting.
In all, Tendulkar scored 6707 runs against Australia in Tests and ODIs at a hefty batting average of 49.68. He registered 20 centuries and 31 half-centuries against the Aussies alone, which is a record that still stands today.
Tendulkar was at his peak when a young Smith would have started watching cricket. Smith has now become of the world's best cricketers and is gradually getting to the records set by the Indian batting legend himself.
Smith will now be in action against the Indians when Virat Kohli will lead his men from November 27 for an all-format bilateral series. Ajinkya Rahane will take over as the captain in the Test series in the absence of Kohli for the last three games.
