The England cricket team is prepping for their limited-overs bilateral series against South Africa starting from November 27. While the series is expected to have on display an excellent tussle between the South African and England fast bowlers, Proteas' pace spearhead Kagiso Rabada has played it down.

The 25-year-old Proteas pacer ended up as the highest wicket-taker in the recently concluded IPL 2020 season in the UAE. He will have the likes of Jofra Archer, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, and Chris Jordan, who shone in IPL, featuring in the same series. However, Rabada wants to focus on his cricket and will not be looking at how others bowl.

Kagiso Rabada told the reporters, "I’m not looking at how they bowl and trying to do better, although Jofra and Mark are world-class fast bowlers and you have to appreciate the skill they bring. The IPL was great, but in cricket, especially on the international stage, you have to repeat constantly."

"It is not an easy place, you’re never in your comfort zone. But you have to keep coming back and doing the same thing. Sometimes you hit a purple patch, but most of the other times you’re just scrapping and it’s never easy against England," he added.

The pacer also stated that he was refreshed by the long break in cricket but now he will have to manage his workload diligently as the players don't know when they'll be getting long breaks again.

Rabada said, "I was able to take my mind off a lot of things, but I don’t know how many long breaks we’ll be able to have in the future. The cricket just gets more and more and you’ve just got to find a way to take it in your stride."

"Mark Boucher has said he wants to rotate a bit and we trust the coach’s philosophy and buy into it," he concluded.
