PSL 2020: "Please bowl slow next time," Shahid Afridi cheeky reaction to Haris Rauf's gesture

The Multan Sultans faced the Lahore Qalandars in PSL 2020's Eliminator 2 on Sunday, November 15. Qalandars bowler Haris Rauf had cleaned up the veteran all-rounder Shahid Afridi for a golden duck.

The 27-year-old bowler resorted to mild celebrations and joined hands with respect to Afridi after claiming the wicket. Returning the favor, Afridi has tweeted asking Rauf to bowl slower the next time the duo comes face to face.

Afridi wrote, "It was a great and unplayable yorker Haris very well bowled! Please bowl slow to me next time congratulations to Qalandars for final berth. Look forward to an exciting match tomorrow. Thank you Sultans fans for supporting us throughout the season."

Earlier, Rauf had explained his celebration while talking to ESPNCricInfo. He said, "I am usually aggressive after taking a wicket, but when I dismissed Afridi yesterday, it was different. He is a Pakistani superstar. I didn't really apologize to him. I just had to give him some respect, and that is my style of doing it."

The Lahore Qalandars beat the Multan Sultans by 25 runs in the end. Courtesy of the win, the Qalandars have progressed to the Finals whereas the Sultans have been knocked out. The former will now play the PSL 2020 Final against Karachi Kings on Tuesday, November 17.
