Devon Conway, the South African-born Wellington Firebirds batsman, who became eligible to represent New Zealand earlier this year, has been named in the squad for the home T20I series against the West Indies.
Besides Conway, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on Monday (November 16) confirmed the inclusion of pacer Kyle Jamieson as well to the T20I set-up.

The selectors have also provided rest to big guns Kane Williamson and Trent Boult before the Test matches. In Williamson's absence, pacer Tim Southee will once again step-up to lead the T20I side.
It was also announced that Southee, Jamieson and Ross Taylor are only available for the first two T20Is, on November 27 and 29, before they join the unchanged Test squad from the one that faced India in March.
Mark Chapman, Doug Bracewell and Scott Kuggeleijn will join the squad as cover for the three Test players before the final T20I on November 30.
"I think we're all very aware and appreciative of how much work has gone in to make this home summer possible - in what is clearly unprecedented times," said head coach Gary Stead in a statement.
"The season schedule is complex and for the first time we're going to have a BLACKCAPS Test squad assembling on the same day we're playing a T20 International in another city."
"We've got players at quite different stages with some having played almost a month of domestic cricket, some in managed isolation following the IPL and others battling injuries," he added.
Auckland's Glenn Phillips has been recalled to the T20I squad after impressive performances with the bat in recent Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Pacer Hamish Bennett has retained his spot in the side.
Lockie Ferguson, Jimmy Neesham, Mitchell Santner and Tim Seifert are set to finish their managed isolation on November 26 and will join the T20I side that evening before taking on the visitors in the first fixture of the three-game series the next day.
The first Test will be played from December 3 in Hamilton while Wellington hosts the second one from December 11.
