Krunal Pandya stopped at Mumbai Airport over suspicion of possession of undisclosed gold

India and Mumbai Indians all-rounder Krunal Pandya was stopped at the Mumbai International Airport by the Directorate of Revenue Inteligence (DRI) over suspicion of carrying undicslosed amount of gold with him on return from the UAE. 

Krunal was in UAE for the recently concluded Indian Premier League 2020, which was won for the fifth time by his team the Mumbai Indians by beating Delhi Capitals in the final on Tuesday.

Cricketer Krunal Pandya stopped by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence at the Mumbai International Airport over suspicion of possession of undisclosed gold and other valuables while returning from the UAE,” DRI sources said. 

The all-rounder has played 71 matches for the MI franchise and has been a star player for them, being part of their title wins in 2017, 2019 and 2020. He was the Man of the Final in 2017 IPL final, against the Rising Pune Supergiant.
