Australian spin legend Shane Warne has recently found yet another reason to express his respect to the two of the all-time batting legends, India's Sachin Tendulkar and West Indies' Brian Lara.

Sharing a throwback picture of him along with Lara and Tendulkar, Warne, one of the greatest spinners of all time, showered rich praise on the bating legends by saying the duo were the “best two batsmen” he played with or against during his illustrious career.

Warne scalped 708 wickets in 145 Tests, while picked 293 wickets in 194 ODIs for his country in his celebrated career spanning 14 years.

While, Tendulkar made his India debut against Pakistan in Karachi in 1989 as a 16-year-old and went on to play 200 Tests, scoring 100 centuries across Tests and ODIs. The batting legend scored 18,426 runs in 463 ODIs, as well as, has 15,921 runs to his name in Test cricket.

On the other hand, Lara is still the only batsman in the world cricket to score 400 runs in an innings in Test cricket and has 11,953 and 10,405 runs to his name in 131 Tests and 299 ODIs respectively for West Indies.

Meanwhile, Warner shared the picture with the two batting greats and asked fans did they like watching the 3 of us play and do battle out on the field?

He captained the post by saying, “These two guys were clearly and easily the best two batsmen I played with or against and the best of my generation too (1989-2013) @sachintendulkar and @brianlaraofficial ! Did you like watching the 3 of us play and do battle out on the field? ️”

Lara also replied to Warne’s post, as he commented: “I enjoyed all battles I faced when at the crease but coming up against you @shanewarne23 was like playing at the #flavian everyone waited anxiously with bated breath not for the outcome but for every delivery and that man next to us @sachintendulkar just check how good he was I am presently in Mumbai and I go on the sports channel in search of one of his brilliant innings he played over the years and I am sure to find it.”
