PM Modi asks Virat Kohli if Chole Bhature business in Delhi is suffering because of him

Chole Bhature is Virat Kohli's favorite street food.

Virat Kohli loves Chole Bhature as he revealed in convo with Gaurav Kapoor on YouTubeIndian PM Narendra Modi on Thursday interacted with several fitness enthusiasts from across the country on the 1st anniversary of the Fit India movement. This included current India cricket captain Virat Kohli as well and the two had some interesting dialogue during their sessions.

Kohli, in his interaction, highlighted the need for the right diet and nutrition to balance the fast-paced work life in the current world. However, during the serious nature of the conversation, PM Modi decided to have a light-hearted moment, and asked Kohli, whether Delhi’s Chole Bhature business was suffering because Virat had given up the tasty delicacy.

Everyone knows that Chole Bhature is Virat Kohli’s favorite street food, but being the fitness freak he is, the Delhiite has not touched the dish for a long time. He revealed the same on an episode of Breakfast with Champions show with Gaurav Kapur.

"We were discussing a few minutes back, our native diet, the food from our region, I have noticed we have not had any health issues with it. From my own experience, I have seen my grandmother, she is very healthy. She eats simple home-cooked food. When I was growing up, I used to eat a lot of street food. Whenever I used to go play, I used to eat outside a lot. From a health point of view, I realized it wasn't good," Kohli said replying to the PM.

"Physical fitness and diet, focussing on these things brought about the changes in me. Just like our sport, our lives have also gotten faster and demanding. If we are not keeping up with it, then we will be left behind," he added.

Virat Kohli is currently in the UAE, leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the ongoing IPL 2020 and RCB won their first match of the tournament, defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 10 runs in Dubai.
