Sussex’s attacking opening batsman Phil Salt has on Sunday (September 6) earned an England call-up, as the uncapped star has been added to England squad as a reserve for the upcoming One Day International (ODI) series against Australia.

Salt will join the England squad as an official reserve alongside Joe Denly and Saqib Mahmood ahead of the three-match ODI series against Australia, starting at Emirates Old Trafford on September 11.

The right-hander has been added to England’s 13-member squad for Australia ODIs after his impressive batting show during the team’s white-ball training, smashing a 58-ball century in a warm-up match for the England Lions against Ireland at the Ageas Bowl.
