The Australian side has not a good couple of tours to England. They were whitewashed in a 5-match ODI series in 2018 and then lost the lone T20I as well. They managed to draw the Ashes 2-2 after losing the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup at Edgbaston.
Things have changed for the Australian side since that 5-0 drubbing and they are a much better team now. Coach Justin Langer is confident of his team's chances on this tour but is also vary of the dangerous England side. He praised the English skipper's batting abilities and revealed that his side is cautious of the danger he possesses.

Langer said in a news conference, "England is dangerous. I watched the way Eoin Morgan plays. It's exciting to watch, he comes out and smacks it from ball one. They have got some good young players, and they've brought in some of their more experienced players. We know they have been the best one day team in the world for a few years now."
"We came here two years ago and got smashed 5-0 and came here last year and won two of the three but didn't win the big one in the (World Cup) semi-final. We know what to expect and we will be ready for it," he added.
Langer spoke fondly about the way young Marnus Labuschagne was playing against the No. 1 Test bowler in the world, Pat Cummins. He also stressed on how strong the Australian batting line-up is at the moment.
He said, "Labuschagne's innings (in the warm-up game) was absolutely sublime; it was brilliant to watch. He was hitting Pat Cummins, the world's best, over point for six. All we can ask for is that guys bang so hard they are putting pressure on the guys in there."

"At the moment they (Aaron Finch and David Warner) are the best opening combination in the world in T20 and one day cricket. When you have Steve Smith, the best batsman in the world, and the best opening combination, it's hard to break into that. But hardcore competition is what we've based our success on," he added.
Australia will play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs against England from 4 September.
