The organisers had to delay the start of the match for the hole to be filled.

Ball accidentally rolled into the pitch ahead of the CPL match | TwitterBizarre scenes were witnessed before the start of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) clash between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Jamaica Tallawahs in Trinidad on Saturday (August 22).

When the roller was operating on the 22 yards, it accidentally rolled the ball into the surface which created a hole. As a result, the organisers had to delay the start of the match for the hole to be filled.

While the ball getting stuck on the pitch was unfortunate, cricket fans managed to see a funny side of it.

Here are some of the reactions:

Coming to the match, Guyana defeated Jamaica by 14 runs in a low-scoring affair.

Asked to bat first, Guyana got bowled out for 118 in 19.1 overs. Opener Brandon King was the top-scorer with 19-ball 29. Carlos Brathwaite (3/14) and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (3/18) were the pick of the bowlers for Tallawahs.

In the chase, Jamaica lost three wickets for just four runs and never quite recovered from there. Andre Russell smashed 52* from 37 balls but that was not enough. Skipper Chris Green was the pick of the bowler for Guyana, claiming 2 wickets for 10 runs in his 3 overs.
