India Women's ODI captain Mithali Raj has on Monday (August 17) paid rich tribute to legendary MS Dhoni after the country’s most successful captain retired from international cricket, saying he is a testament of his originality and talent.

Mithali, like others, is also a fan of Dhoni’s helicopter shot while saying she admired the legendary cricketer for his nerves of steel and calm nature in difficult situations.
She said in a video shared by the official Twitter handle of BCCI Women: “Dhoni is an inspiration and institution in himself. He walks the talk, he is the dream of every small-town boy who wants to play for the country and achieve it all.”

Mithali further added, “I have admired him for his nerves of steel, and for his calm nature in difficult situations, that helicopter shot outside of any cricketing textbook, he is a testament of his originality and talent. There will never another like him, he is a legend, edged in time forever. He literally walks the talk. He is a dream for every small-town boy who aspires to play for the country and achieved.”
Noteworthy, Dhoni had his India debut in 2004 and went on to play 538 international matches across three formats of the game. He remains the only captain to win all major ICC trophies (50-over World Cup, T20 World Cup, and Champions Trophy).
