Tributes have been pouring in from all corners after MS Dhoni called time on his illustrious international cricket career on August 15. The former India captain had already retired from Tests in 2014 and after a year of playing his last ODI for India in 2019 World Cup, hung up his gloves.

The Ranchi-born cricketer had a meteoric rise in Indian cricket after making his debut in 2004, was named T20I captain in 2007, winning the World T20 that year. Then Dhoni was made the full-time captain in 2008 and took India to greater heights, which included the 2011 World Cup win and 2013 Champions trophy victories.

India won an ODI tri-series in Australia for the first time under Dhoni and reached the pinnacle of ICC Test team rankings in 2009 under him.

Dhoni carved a niche for himself becoming the only batsman batting at no.5 or lower to make 10,000 plus runs in ODIs, the only wicketkeeper with over 100 stumpings in ODIs, the only Indian keeper to make a double-century in Tests and only captain to win all three ICC trophies.

Therefore, it was justified when the search engine Google also joined in lauding the brilliant international cricket career of MS Dhoni and paid a fitting farewell to the man whose replacement is hard to find, even if one Googled it.
