Two-time World Cup-winning captain MS Dhoni's fans and India cricketers want BCCI to retire jersey number 7. Dhoni's career lasted for 15 years, starting from 2004. Although he retired in 2020, the 39-year-old played his last match for India a year back.
Mohammad Kaif, who was Dhoni's batting partner when he made his debut, feels the number 7 belongs to the former India captain only. Another wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik lauded Dhoni's well-celebrated career and said BCCI should retire jersey number 7.
