"I Love You," Suresh Raina tells wife Priyanka after her tweet on his retirement

Raina made his debut for Indian cricket in 2005 and last played in 2018.

Priyanka Raina found it difficult to deal with husband Suresh Raina's decision to retire from international cricket. She made a tweet expressing her feelings as Raina announced retirement soon after MS Dhoni said goodbye on Saturday.

Raina put up a post on Instagram with a message that read: “It was nothing but lovely playing with you, @mahi7781. With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey. Thank you, India. Jai Hind.”

The 33-year-old's wife Priyanka said she is proud of Raina and his achievements for Indian cricket. "Though I’m still processing this! All I can say is I’m bursting with pride, Immense pride. My heart is just filled with respect & gratitude @ImRaina," she wrote for the World Cup winner India cricketer. 

Raina responded to the tweet and acknowledged her post after retirement. "I love you jaan," he wrote for Priyanka.
