Former India captain MS Dhoni retired from international cricket on Saturday. The World Cup 2019 semifinal between India and New Zealand remains his last match for the country.

But Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren is trying to arrange a farewell match for Dhoni. Soren appealed to the BCCI to organize a farewell match for the Jharkhand cricketer.

“I wish to appeal to BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) to hold a farewell match for MS Dhoni; Jharkhand would like to host it,” he said in a tweet on Saturday.

Soren also said the fans haven't got enough of Dhoni and they would love to watch him play one last time in the blue jersey.

Dhoni made his debut for the Indian cricket team in 2004 and stepped down from captaincy in 2017. He had retired from Test cricket already in 2014.

Although the 39-year-old has quit international cricket, he will still play Indian Premier League this year.
