In an illustrious career spanning 15 years, Sangakkara played 134 Tests, 404 ODIs and 56 T20Is for his country and made nearly 30,000 international runs, including 38 Test and 25 ODI centuries.

However, for any batsman there are bowlers he tends to be slightly wary of and find difficulties against.

When during a Q & A session organized by Marylebone Cricket Club’s Twitter handle he was quizzed over the names for such bowlers, Sangakkara couldn't look too far away from Pakistan legend Wasim Akram and India's veteran left-arm seamer Zaheer Khan.

"Wasim Akram was a nightmare to face. Zaheer Khan, I faced many times and was extremely difficult also,” Sangakkara said.

While Sangakkara faced Wasim at the twilight phase of the career of 'Sultan of Swing', he came up against Zaheer for the best part of street-smart paceman's stay at the highest level.

In a flawless record across conditions and occasions, Wasim bagged 414 Test and 502 ODI wickets for Pakistan.

Zaheer, whose career saw him overcome fitness issues and constantly evolve as a bowler, took 311 Test and 282 ODI wickets.

Like Wasim for Pakistan at the 1992 edition of the quadrennial event, Zaheer too was instrumental to India's 2011 World Cup win.
