Pakistan batsman Babar Azam grabbed eyeballs with his batting against England in the first Test at Manchester. He scored 69 in the first innings and showed a good display of skill against the English bowling attack.
Former West Indies pacer Ian Bishop lauded Azam along with India captain Virat Kohli for their batting talent. Kohli is currently called the best batsman across all formats. Bishop gets reminded of India batting great Sachin Tendulkar after watching Azam and Virat bat.

Talking to former Zimbabwe pacer Pommie Mbangwa in an Instagram Live, Bishop said, "Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, who in terms of the straight lines, you remember Sachin Tendulkar, there's a reason why I think he was the best batsman I bowled to as he always played in the straight lines and these two guys (Kohli, Azam) present that."
During the Instagram live, Bishop went on to praise India speedster Jasprit Bumrah and called him a generational talent.
"Jasprit Bumrah is a generational talent, the ability to adapt to all the formats is brilliant. Kagiso Rabada is someone I find impressive, the first time I saw him was in a T20 match and he was bowling to Kieron Pollard. I am seeing a fast bowling renaissance right now and it excites me," Bishop said. He also highlighted the smooth bowling action of Jofra Archer.
